What is Botox? How does it work?

Botox is one brand of a group of pharmaceutical drug derived from Botulinum Toxin (Bo–Tox). It’s is an injectable medicine used as a non-surgical option for the treatment of facial wrinkles.

Botox acts by relaxing facial muscles. The overlying skin appears smoother and wrinkle-free.

‘Motion’ Botox

Motion Botox enables the elimination or reduction of facial wrinkles while maintaining natural motion of the treated area. The advantage is a “non-frozen” and more natural facial appearance.

A careful calculation of the effective doses for each area to be injected is carried out, followed by multiple injections of micro-doses of Botox by means of a specially designed apparatus, which enables extreme precision.

Botox procedure

The injection of Botox is done to reduce wrinkles in all appropriate areas.

Minor injections through a very thin needle are administered.

The effect of the treatment is not immediately visible. The first signs appear between 3 and 5 days. It is therefore recommended to carry out a follow-up visit after one week to determine the efficiency, dosing and effectiveness of the medicine in each individual’s case.

The Botox effect lasts 3 to 4 months.

Treatments should be spaced at least 3 months apart. Regular injections are necessary to achieve semi-permanent results lasting a greater duration of time.
