HYALURONIC ACID

What is hyaluronic acid ?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the skin that can degrade with age, UV rays or mechanical stress. This results in loss of volume of a facial area, skin sagging and loss of elasticity of tissue.

In order to fill this loss of substance, fillers gels can be injected under the skin to re-create a volume. The advantage of hyaluronic acid is that it is rarely a source of allergic problems and that its aesthetic effects last from 6 to 24 months.

The filler injections procedure at Clinique Benslimane

The Benslimane Aesthetic Clinic has become renown for innovation and excellence in the use of reversible facial fillers (hyaluronic acids) to improve the appearance of facial aging changes and overall facial aesthetics.
Dr. Benslimane employs the following evaluation and treatment guidelines, which he has developed to insure that he achieves the best results possible within his minimally invasive filler techniques.

1

Artistic analysis using 3-D imaging.

2

Pre treatment photographs.

3

Artistic pre-treatment marking of landmarks on the patient’s face to optimize injection placement by focusing attention on areas to be filled and to achieve the best possible cosmetic results.

4

A second set of photographs are taken with the facial markings in place.

5

Sterile techniques insure that potential complications from injection will not occur.

6

Local anesthesia for any injection is a must. It has two objectives :

  • Insure total anesthesia of the areas to be treated for maximal patient comfort.
  • Insure vasoconstriction to avoid accidental migration of the product into vessels that could potentially lead to serious complications.

7

The injection of facial fillers to optimize cosmetic improvement is performed with use of a cannula or needle depending on the areas to be treated. The patient follows the progression of her/his facial remodeling, step-by-step.

8

A third photography session is performed to document the result and compare it with the pre-treatment photographs.

Potential complications of hyaluronic acid treatments

Complications are very rare when a trained physician injects hyaluronic acid. These complications are minor and reversible.

Artistic analysis of the face and 3-D consultation

picto-new

The Artistic Analysis of the Face was developed and refined by Dr. Benslimane during more than fifteen years of research. It allows a scientific translation of the instinctive-unconscious perception of the physical appearance.

It also provides a unique opportunity for setting up a care program precisely tailored to the patient’s characteristics.

The artistic analysis of the face prior to any aesthetic procedure avoids a standardization of beauty and respects one of the most important aspects of beauty: physical diversity.
